Catholic School Center St. Joseph Sarajevo

Inspired by their slogan “Semper Magis” (Latin for “Always More”) we did “spatial typographic” concept for school interior. The idea is to use different Latin phrases for specific spaces and rooms in school. Here you can see a very first finished intervention at the entrance hall where we used phrase “Quo Vadis?” (“Where are you going?”). Croatian translation is provided on the opposite wall which was also used for school history exhibition. Donor wall is designed as an integral part of the whole spatial intervention in a way that it can be easily updated.

From Klović and Rembrandt to Warhol and Picelj

From Klović and Rembrandt to Warhol and Picelj - 90th anniversary of the National and University Library's graphics collection

About 40 thousand people visited the largest exhibition of graphics in the history of Croatia in a period of just two months. A wealthy collection of graphics from the National and University Library in Zagreb were shown for the first time to the public for its 90th anniversary. The entire exhibition had over 650 exhibits on 1100 min The Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb. The visual framework of the exhibition was a “timeline” on which were presented 650 exhibits shown in chronological order (15th – 20th century). Every period and theme was differentiated by color and ambient with specially designed postaments and art installations. Interactive installation ˝Leave a mark˝ is movement-sensitive, and it presented a contemporary form of a graphic – virtual and temporary. It was placed at the end to leave a mark on visitors. Multiplied handprints also reminded them of the very beginnings of visual expression.

Entire exhibition had over 650 exhibits on 1100 m2. “Leave a mark” is interactive, movement-sensitive installation, and it was used to present a simple act of art creation, a contemporary form of a graphic as short term and virtual. Handprint symbol was used as a reference to the first art forms (caveman drawing) and beginnings of visual expression.
