Monograph An Oasis of Sanctity and Light
This book is not a usual monography – it is a project for which it could be said, is one of the most valuable Croatian, sacral art pieces. The book is a ˝walking church˝ – portrait of a church in a dialogue of words and pictures – a portrait of a holy place, a one of a kind gallery of sacral art, ˝it is a key point of spiritualism of Croatian community and one of origins of cultural identity of Croatian emigration in Australia˝.
Transparent jacket on covers emphasize the theme of sanctity and light, while the choice of photography and the characteristic extended reproduction of ˝centerfold with flaps˝ make this book a new medium which reveals sacral space, created with works of seven prominent Croatian artists (Petar Barišić, Charles Bilich, Josip Botteri Dini, Kuzma Kovačić, Vatroslav Kuliš, Ante Mamuša i Zlatan Vrkljan).
